Miska Kettu’s Busy Bees collection envisions a future after the disappearance of bees; a future where humanity is compelled to restructure itself to mirror the cooperative logic of a beehive within a post-bee ecosystem.

To support this narrative, Ione Rawlins was commissioned to create two original surface designs that translate the concept visually. The first is a placement print that acts as the emblem, the “logo” of the human hive, representing unity and collective purpose. The second, an all-over pattern, abstractly reflects the aesthetic of bees through rhythmic, striped forms that evoke movement and shared energy, echoing the hive’s dynamic and interconnected nature.
